Where does my data go?+

Run data syncs to your private cloud account. Heart-rate samples stay in Apple Health. We never sell your data. We never share your data. Crash logs are anonymised. Email support@appe-latte.ca for a copy of everything we hold against your account — we send it within 30 days.

Can I leave my phone at home?+

Yes. Apple Watch tracks the full run on its own — GPS, heart rate, cadence, elevation, splits, pace, route. Your phone can stay home, in a drawer, on the kitchen counter. Runs sync to your iPhone and to kova-run.app the next time the Watch is in range.

What syncs to kova-run.app?+

Every completed run — distance, time, pace, heart rate, cadence, elevation, route, splits, calories, GAP, HR drift, training load. Walks too. Personal Bests. Profile and units. Mid-run, nothing. Live tracking is a v1.1 feature. The web dashboard is for review, not real-time spectating.

How do I delete my account?+

iOS Settings → Account → Delete Account. One tap, confirmation sheet, gone. Cascade-deletes runs, splits, Personal Bests, profile across iOS and the kova-run.app dashboard. Cloud backups roll off in 7 days per the database retention window. Or email support@appe-latte.ca from your account email — we process within 30 days.

I forgot my password.+

kova-run.app/login → "Forgot your password?" — magic-link arrives by email within a minute. Click the link, set a new one. The same password works on iOS and on the web. Apple and Google sign-in users skip the password entirely.

What sign-in methods do you support?+

Email + password. Sign in with Apple. Sign in with Google. All three on iPhone, all three on the web. Anonymous mode on iPhone if you want to try the app without an account — runs save locally until you create one.

Where do I see my subscription?+

On iPhone: iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → KOVA. On Android (Q4 2026): Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → KOVA. That's where the next bill date, the plan, and the cancel button live. We don't charge from the kova-run.app website — Apple and Google handle billing through their own subscription systems, the same way every other subscription on those platforms works.

What happens when the 7-day trial ends?+

Your annual plan starts billing — $49.99 CAD / year. Same price on iPhone and Android. Cancel any time in iOS Settings → Subscriptions (or Google Play → Subscriptions on Android) and you keep Pro until the year ends. Personal Bests stay free forever, with or without Pro. The 7-day free trial applies to the annual plan only; monthly bills from day one.

What iPhone and Apple Watch do I need?+

iPhone running iOS 26. Apple Watch running watchOS 26 — Series 6 or later, including SE second-generation and Ultra. Older watches still pair, but skip features like elevation. KOVA is iPhone + Apple Watch today. Android phone launches Q4 2026, with Wear OS to follow. iPad runs the iPhone build at iPad scale.

My GPS dropped mid-run.+

Apple Watch GPS reacquires automatically when the signal returns. KOVA fills the gap with the last known direction and dead-reckons over short outages. Long outages — tunnels, dense forest — show a pause icon. Runs continue counting time. Pace doesn't fabricate. The summary screen flags any segment with low confidence.

My run isn't on the website.+

Open the iOS app → pull down on the History tab to refresh. The phone syncs to the cloud, the cloud serves the website. Watch-only runs sync after the next time your Watch and iPhone are in range. If it's still missing after 5 minutes, email support@appe-latte.ca with the run date.

The Watch app won't start a run.+

Open Settings → Privacy → Motion & Fitness on iPhone, confirm KOVA is enabled. Same for Health → KOVA → all permissions on. On the Watch, Settings → Privacy → Health → KOVA → all on. Reboot both devices. If it still won't start, email support@appe-latte.ca — we read every message.
